Middle-order batters like Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell, Shai Hope, and Andre Russell failed to follow up on the outstanding start provided by the openers. Towards the end, tailender Jason Holder stormed an unbeaten 34 off 15 to propel the team to 202-8 till the final ball. However, the all-rounder could not capture the winning runs for the team.

West Indies will eye a comeback in the next encounter, otherwise they will lose the series even before the final encounter.
