Yashasi Jaiswal smoked James Anderson for three consecutive sixes during the second innings of the third Test which is being played at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. He is nearing another double century and has been brilliant with the bat in this series. Yashasvi Jaiswal has smashed 13 fours and 10 sixes in his innings as of now and has taken his revenge against James Anderson who got him out in both innings in the second Test which was played in Vizag.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken on the English bowlers and is now making batting look ridiculously easy as he is nearing another 200. He smashed 209 in the first innings in Vizag where he accounted for more than 50% of the team’s total in the first innings. Jaiswal has carried his form from Vizag to Rajkot has broken numerous records with his innings and is still unbeaten. With these three sixes, he has become the first Indian to smash 10 sixes in a Test innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is only the second batter in 21 years to smash James Anderson for three sixes in an over in a Test match and he was just a year old when James Anderson made his international debut for England. Jaiswal also completed 20 sixes in the series which is the highest in a Test series by any Indian and there are still two matches left in the series after this Test match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been a revelation for India as an opener and with his performance in this series, he has established himself as an opener for India in Tests. Yashasvi Jaiswal has smashed three centuries in Test cricket and all of them have been 150+ scores which shows his resilience and confidence. He doesn’t just stop after scoring a ton and goes on which is something normally have been seen in Rohit Sharma. In the first innings India posted 445 with the help of centuries by Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja.

Yashasvi Jaiswal got out in both innings against James Anderson in the second Test which was played in Vizag but now he has taken his revenge in Rajkot by smashing for back-to-back three sixes in an over. It was an amazing sight to see a bowler with 21 years of experience in Test cricket being smoked by a 22-year-old youngster in a Test match. Jaiswal has been brilliant in this Test match and will hopefully continue the onslaught in the remaining matches as well.

India is in a very strong position from here to win the Test match as they are already leading by more than 500 runs and England will have a mammoth total to chase in the fourth innings. The five-match series is currently levelled 1-1 and India is all set to get a lead in this series. India has not lost a Test series at home since 2012 and has won 16 consecutive Test series at home, aiming to make it 17 by defeating England in the ongoing series.
