I Wasn’t Expecting Anything: Spencer Johnson

After grabbing an expensive deal of Rs. 10 crore with Gujarat Titans, Spencer Johnson told Fox Sports that he wasn’t expecting anything from the IPL 2024 auction.

“I never thought I’d be in this situation … I wasn’t expecting anything. I felt like I had the potential, it was a question of whether I could get myself right. I’ve always had that inner belief, but it was more whether my body would let me,” the left-armer said.

Spenser Johnson, who plays for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League, also added that his family was quite happy after his expensive deal in the IPL 2024 auction. He also added that he was excited to be part of Gujarat Titans.

“The longer it was going, the less chance I had. It’s a moment for my whole family. They’ve been there the whole way, so for them to experience it as well, it’s pretty special.

I’m very excited to be a part of Gujarat (Titans). They’ve played in two finals already. They’ve got an unbelievable list and unbelievable support staff,” the Brisbane Heat pacer further said.
