Zimbabwe Cricket Team are all set to tour Sri Lanka for the white-ball series in January 2024. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in a three-match ODI and T20I series, to be played from 6th to 18th January.

Zimbabwe’s tour to Sri Lanka will begin with the ODI series. The first match will be played on 6th January followed by the second and third games to be played on 8th and 11th January respectively. All three games will be played at RPICS in Colombo.

Following the ODI series, T20Is will begin from 14th January. The second game between the teams will be played on 16th January whereas the last match is slated to take place on 18th January. The T20I series between the two teams will be played at the same venue as the ODI series.

Zimbabwe will be arriving in Sri Lanka on 3rd January. It will be the first time they will be visiting the island nation since 2022. The Sikandar Raza-led side have had a decent success in Sri Lanka as they thumped the home team by the margin of 3-2 during the ODI series in 2017.

Both the teams would be hoping to make a mark as they recently had heartbreaks. For Sri Lanka, it will be more of a comeback series as they had a debacle in ICC World Cup 2023. They couldn’t get going at all and managed just two wins in the tournament and lost 7 games.

On the other, Zimbabwe would be looking to rejuvenate themselves, having failed to qualify for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. If this was not enough for them, they also suffered a disappointing home series loss against Ireland by the margin of 1-2.
