We need parent-child fishing teams who can get family, relatives and friends to make pledges of so many dollars per each fish the team catches! For example: A friend makes a pledge of $5 per fish caught. The team catches nine fish. The friend who made the pledge would then donate $45. Fixed donations are equally fine.
The boat charter fee is $50 per person. If you don’t have your own fishing gear (pole, hooks and sinkers), it’s available at the dock for an extra $5. A fishing license is required for anyone sixteen or older. (A one-day license is $12.60.) The fishing at this time of year should be great!
On Saturday afternoon, The Way to Happiness Outdoors Club members will be assisting the Southern California Cease Fire Committee by taking a group of inner-city kids out on the same boat (Betty-O) for several hours of fishing! Besides paying for more copies of The Wayto Happiness® booklet, your donations also help us pay for positive kid’s activities like this one!
So far we have funded over ONE MILLION copies of The Way to Happiness® booklet. Our goal is to have ANOTHER MILLION copies funded by the end of this year! We really need your help to make this happen. Even if you can’t make it on this fishing trip, please make a donation. Los Angeles really needs The Way to Happiness® booklet in a very big way right now!
